My engine compression results stated>>>
#1 Cylinder 165psi
#2 Cylinder 170psi
#3 Cylinder 170psi
#4 Cylinder 165psi

The engine compression ratio is 9.5:1.


What you think? not bad for a 4AF uh?

For 4A-FE it should be around 191PSI, 142PSI min and all within 14PSI.
Don't have spec for 4A-F but I'll say they're very close.

That's fine. Normally they're around 170-180... minimum of 140 or something like that... so long as all of the cylinders are pretty close.

i'm guessing this is with a little bit of oil in the cylinders? my smallport only had 170-190 dry, but had nearly 260 across all of them with a little oil to seal the rings...... the mr2's motor (which ran awesome) was only around 120psi dry.... but was consistent across all cylinders

i remember one of the guys in the forum says he was getting 190 psi that had me feeling that my motor was bad. but thanks for the info.

So you'll feel better... my silvertop only runs 180 psi or so across... and it runs GREAT... ;]
