Has anyone here ever tried to custom make a cold air intake for a 4af? Just curious.

Yea.. You can get some factory replacement style intake hose at auto stores.. and use that to pipe down to like the fender area..

Btw, on my ae92 sr5 coupe I got an ae92 trueno hood.. with the hood scoop.. so I got my intake there

well if you go for factory style pipe it is still shitty rubber and is ribbed, if you want the best "custom intake pipe" go to a local muffler shop and ask them to bend some scrap pipe for you. most places will do it for a few bucks then get some rubber connectors and you have a nice intake (i would go with 2.5in pipe) also if you want the air to be a bit colder or worry about the pipe heating up take it to a place that does spray on bed liners for trucks and ask them to give you a quick spray on the outside of the pipes and that will insulate it from almost all under hood heat
