ok i went to ek-9s place today to do a quick diagnosis on his ae86.. very nice pick up indeed, the body is all original. excellent frame. and all original paint.. rust is minimal.. front fenders have the usual stuff and rear arches are surprisingly not too bad. it is the 2 tone blue/grey..

interior is nice, and he is very very enthuastic on working on it.. reminds me of NICK.... anyways! hahaa

speaking of which, he really needs some help with trying to identify alot of loose screws and vacuume hose locations.. you think you can lend a hand nick?

rear brakes look like it is going to be a mini project on its own. but mainly the engine stuff would be great to work on.. and swinging some wrenches on it may be a bit of fun... he lives near me, so i will lend a hand on weekends.. whenever he is free to get the car up and running! sounds like a plan indeed!

thanks
andrew

Thanks for the support guys. I'm sure I'm going to need it. Picked up a battery yesterday and I checked some of the electrical stuff. Both headlight motors are fine. Never had pop-ups before ... so COOL!Power mirrors seem fine too. Brake lights are good. The lights on the dash turn on, but can't check the actual meters. I'll just assume they're ok. Also got some T.B cleaner. Trueno92, I'll let you know if this works well on the Carbon deposits. Man, I can't wait to get this thing running ... me feel so happy ... me want to cry!

Am I really selling my AE86? Hmm, that depends. I don't think anyone is willing to pay me $5000 for my car. Maybe even more than $5000. I have to check out how much I've invested since I bought my car.

I don't intend on selling it. It has a cracked head. And I don't think anyone is willing to pay $5000 for a car that only has three working cylinders.

If you are still interested, then e-mail me: nismo@ipoline.com.

She has a clean body by the way. 220,000kms. Silver, hatchback. Pretty much stock. Lots of new factory parts.

Thanks,
Kevin

yup, that intake cleaner does wonders on carbon deposits.. just let the muck soak in it.. might as well use varsol or paint thinner or something.. has the same effects...

flip-up lights are the "shiz-nit" nothing beats that flick of the switch and you see your lights flip and a beam shines out.. instant gradification!!! not to mention that wikked ass sound that headlight motors make.... i think that noise comes pretty close to the same arousal level as my exhaust note above 5000 rpm esp in 2nd/3rd gear!!! oh yeah baby!
