OK. First off most members here are from Canada. I don't think any inteligent member would go for that deal ether. Let me see do I want a rice rocket or my vintage Toyota.
In my opinion that would be a reversal of every thing I belive in. I wil admit that Honda does make good cars but unfortunatly has been plauged by ricers. I would never want a car that is popular in such a fashin.
One of the main reasons I decided that I wanted a Corolla GT-S was because it was the exact opposite of the Civic movement. Instead of focusing on flashy looks and big sterios these individuals would focus their money on increasing the cars perfomance and increasing their skill as a driver.
So I belive finding one such person to do such a trade would be unrealistic. I think you would be better off selling that car and buying a GT-S.
This post is not really ment as a flame but rather to educate you in trying to make a unusual deal. I say just sell you car and buy the GT-S you are looking for. The AE92 is not that hard to find. At least when compared to a AE86. Just look on autotrader and I'm sure that you will find some fast.

Yeah, like Voodoo said, don't trade, sell the car, then use the money to buy yourself the AE92. Your car should sell for MUCH more than an AE92.
Oh forsure. I picked my 88GTs up for $2000 certified. It needs alittle TLC but it runs like a top. I prefer driving it over my Olds Intrigue and the corolla is 10 years older. BEST TWO GRAND I EVER SPENT!!
88-91 I'm sure you made amistake with one year.. It's alright..
But I would agree, if you want to buy a clean AE92 GTS you'll probably have to sell you Teg and wait till a good GTS comes along.. I don't think alot of people will go for the idea of trading! I certainly wouldn't trade my car for any Honda (No offense or anything) But Honda's are very played out in TO and there's no way for you to be unique even if you get your aftermarket parts from the moon, there's always a chance that another guy has the same part whether it's performance or cosmetic!
Do you know what makes me laugh?? When you guys say that Hondas Suck. I don't think Honda makes sh*tty cars, I just think people flame them because they're popular amongst real racers and ricers plague them. It's the ricers that make their cars look bad and most of them drive Hondas. By the way whoever it was that said they wouldn't trade their Corolla for any Honda. Well if I owned a Honda NSX, Honda S2000, Honda Integra Type R I wouldn't even think about trading it for a Corolla the other grocery getter that competes with the Civic. Don't get me wrong I love Toyotas but I'm a car enthusiast and I can appreciate all well built cars. So before you flame do not flame the car company flame the ricers that rice them out. I mean think about it for a sec. It won't be long before we see some riced out AE86's. It's not that Honda guys are moving to Toyota cars, it's the ricers that are moving because they are following trends and bringing their rice with them.
i agree... plus you have to show love for the integra gsr's.... though they ARE played they are still pretty damn fast for a 4 cyl... (though the one this guy is talking about is an integra LS... LS came w/ a 2.0L non v-tec, gsr came w/ a 1.8L, b18c, v-tec)... but i wouldn't trade my car for a gsr (though my neighbors is cool cause it's a 92 and it was THE FIRST gsr in WA state one of the first TEN to grace the US and he still has it) or a civic or maybe even an s2000.... though they're good cars i believe i would rather be original than be a little faster... i think on the road i have seen one 2 door ae-92 that had rims and a system... thats all... and that's since i bought my car (2+ years ago)... i mean, import shops don't even know what kind of car mine is... they keep asking if it's a celica (but then they get confused because it a little different)... and i like that because that means THEY DON'T SEE THEM very often.... i think thats the best...

Thats why I bought My ae-92 GTS Its pretty rare. Considering it is 14years old the technology in it is awesome. I just love kicing my friends '98 civic hatchback up and down the street. He never learns. I bug the piss out of him that my car may not look as pretty as his civic but he never sees more than my tail lights anyways Not saying my car is fast but he always is trying to race me.
i just re-read what he wrote.... a b20b vtec... that means he has what's known as a "frankenstein"... honda owners take the 2.0liter non-vtec bottom end and slap a 1.8L b18c top end to the motor.... only problem is since the two parts are different getting the correct gaskets and what not is difficult.... don't get me wrong, the frankenstein is fast as hell and torquey... but there are always problems w/ oil leaks... (hmm, sounds like a rotary.. haha)

i thought you just use the blocks hg as all the vtec head designs are pretty much the same....with differences actually being in the cams and the ports, but not the actuall combustion chamber?
Aren't all the bores the same on the b series blocks...just differences in stroke?
