Hello there guys ! im getting a 92 corolla 4 dr... it has 210,000 km on it.. i drove it and it sounds ok to me. It doesnt have any pw or pm but it has a/c which is all i was looking for.... Now my plans are to lower the car so im wondering how much does a set of springs or coil overs for the car what brand should i go for ? or any thats cheap  probably a used one.... I want to get some rims but have no idea what the bolt pattern it has and the proper offset so that it wont rub the walls im planning to get a 16 or probably a 17 for the car..

Im also looking to get a 3sgte motor / tranny for the car coz i know that the motor might go soon.... Have you guys seen or have experience with doing this engine transplant ? I know that i need the motor and tranny and probably the CVD's but thats it ... need some advice here ...

Ive seen the 20v but the price is twice more than the 3sgte.. or a 4age 16v off a 91 GTS....

Im also wondering if the rear disk brakes of a FWD GTS fit the rear of the corolla (4dr) so that it would look nice and have a better braking power than the drum brakes...

the car is cheap so that i can do some fixing up and make it look decent and ofcourse can go with meets and look ok ...

thanks

ok, first off.... the 3s-gte can be done, but it's gonna be a pain.... it's a bigger engine and the motor mounts have to be custom fabricated.... then you have to get a transmission from a celica all-trac... the 20V is a great engine, but if you're in the states or in canada, parts are hard to find (and i'm talking simple parts if ANYTHING goes wrong... this engine was never released here so stuff like plugs can be hard to find)... from what i've heard, yes, the rear disc brakes from an ae-92 gts should fit (easily) on a 4 door or sr5 ae-92.... also, if you're thinking about going bigger rims... i wouldn't go any bigger than 16.... i have 15 (and that's a plus 2) and thats getting kinda big on my car (ae-92 sr5)... a 16 might be a tad wide, and i don't even think a 17 would fit w/o rubbing.... plus throwing all that mass around doesn't help the power too much....

for engine swaps, if i were you i would get a 4a-ge or a 4a-gze.... both are direct bolt ins (to the factory mounts of a 4a-f/4a-fe) and the 4a-gze is supercharged.....

Sorry to correct you, but an Alltrac tranny won't work unless you go AWD. A 5SFE tranny will work tho (MR2,Camry, Celica)
