Gas Light

Hopefully, someone will know the real answer to my question - how much fuel is left in the tank when the gas light comes on?

If anyone has read somewhere or otherwise wise knows the answer, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

Please be specific down to the decimal without guesses. If you have to guess, save it for Vegas. If can site your reference, that also would be helpful.

depends on the car and tank size. I remember hearing before that when the light turns on in a japanese car that you had about 4 liters left.. enough to get you to a gas station. But on some american cars, when the light comes on.. you're shit out of luck.

my brother drives around all day w/ the gas light on. Your not in trouble until it getts really bright...then your car starts to spudder.
