Simplest Exhaust setup for AE92 Sedan.

4-AF engien, AE 92 sedan, and looking for the most economical exhaust setup for my vehicle.

COULD redo system with stock exhaust setup, but i thought why bother when i could simply get "some" kind of performance upgrade yah know?

all in all, any suggestions?

2 1/4 piping w/ 18in. resonator and a Magnaflow muffler.
Sounds mean and flows more than you'll ever need.

Well, here's my simple solution that actually made some difference anyways; I cut a hole in the back of the stock muffler, to the left of the original outlet, then screwed on an old downpipe/manifold flange w/a homemade gasket.
You can't see it unless you bend down and look under the car, and it sounds like a decent sport system, not rumbly/blaring at all.

There's a passage inside the muffler that dumps over on the left side, so by placing another outlet in front of it you eliminate one baffle, and the restriction of the stock outlet tube, which is quite small.

I don't suppose a 93+ corolla exhaust would fit an 88[ae92] would it?

The later cars are pretty similar to the ae92s, but the floor is 1.5" lower in the newer cars, so the hangers won't line up, or if you use them, the pipe will hit in the rear.]

I'm looking now for a less-used system in my local junkyards since my pipe cracked off in the rear the other day.

Any luck w/yours?
