Megasquirt setup in the AW11

it's not all wired in yet (obviously).... i heard about brentpicasso (over on mr2oc) making some sort of plate in the rear to mount the MS and MJLJ on... have seen the car i person, but never noticed the way it was mounted.... this is sort of his idea (so, giving credit where credit is due)...

^^^ relocated the underhood temp onto the firewall.... not quite the same as the n/a setup, lol... but the side fan still works fine, as it's hooked up to the body harness... oh, and the starter kicks over just fine w/o blowing a fuse now (30A is a bit small....)

now only if the MS site was easier to find the info you actually need, it might have been running.... but i'm also having problems with my tablet pc having NT 4.0 (and trying to get 2000 on it.... ugh) and reading the usb -> serial adapter (doesnt' have a serial port, but does have usb... which is why i went the route i did)

the MS turns on just fine, but w/o the fuel pump signal it shuts off quickly.... the injectors i got some info on (thanks brent, and someone else) and will be wiring in soon.... not sure if where i'm gonna mount the EDIS4 controller.... quite possibly in the back as well, but i'll see.....

(for those that don't know, that's a build it yourself "cheap" way of using a stand alone fuel management setup... all laptop programmable, with free software for tuning, datalogging, and viewing your cars vitals in real time)

because i'm an ae92 owner and have been on the corolla forums for nearly 4 years...... so, many people may be following (or at least interested to see) what work i'm doing.... along with, if i'm happy with the results then the ae92 will get an MS kit as well

Cause the info here has little to do with what car this is. It's all about the engine and wiring...

Good luck with it. It seems I'm gonna be looking at doing that sometime also... =]

last night, talking with a friend..... he sent me links for wiring the EDIS (and told me where other wires go that aren't on the diagram).... and i also got the needed info for wiring the injectors in (for those who need to know - group 1&3 and 2&4, run them in parallel.... the 12V turn ons are just an ignition turn on, they should all have the same color wire for the 12v+.... the negative controlls when the injector opens and closes..... run them in parallel)
