questions about weber carbs

I have an 89 corolla 4af, I rebuilt carb about a month ago and I noticed that it has a bracket on the back of the engine that is for the intake manifold but it doesn't match up. So I figure that the carb is the reason why it runs like ****. whether its cuz I rebuilt it or because its not original.
So I'm thinking about getting a weber carb and I was wondering what would happen if I got rid of all the emissions and vacuum other than the timing advance. Would the computer screw up the way the distributor works, and if so how would I fix it.

You wouldnt have vacuum advance... I dont have it, it does have some grumpyness in low RPM, but at midrange no problems.

I just thought of another question. Don't people sometimes use slide carbs like maybe motorcycle carbs and if so what would happen if I tried. Because I have a honda cb that I wrecked out back. I would have to make a new manifold for a weber dcoe so why not save five hundred bucks and try motorcycle carbs. Anyone heard of this before.
And you can call me a jackass if I deserve it
