help

last night i was driving home from the mountain and yeah my gauge cluster and my lights started to fade and i was like dang whats going on...i got kinda scared and drove even faster home so when i got home every thing died...any idea wut can be wrong...i drive a ae86.....

You can check your aternator yourself just take one of your battery cables off(be careful) after you have the car running and if it dies its your alternator if it keeps running then its probably your battery..I think Autozone also tests them for you...If your straped for cash I use to tap the alternator with a hammer...sometimes your brushes get froze up from dirt, I did that once and it ran fine for another 6 months then I had to replace the altenator...its worth a try, if its not your atlternator and your batteries good I would check your belt if its loose and you go at high speeds it will just slip over the pullys...hope this helps....Raddman out
