Unhappy Intake Problem. HELP!!

Three months ago, I installed a Intake I got from ebay on my 2000 corolla VE. It was working well until recently my engine light came on. I dont know what's the problem. If someone out there know how to fit this problem, please tell me. Thank you very much!!

What code are you getting from the ECU?
That should point you in a direction.

OH! It also could be your mass air flow sensor! The only way to tell is by doing a diagnostics check which runs from 35-75 bones!!! Depending on where you take it. Call around and see how much diagnostics run price wise for your car!!

Well depending on where you live, you can get free code readings from any Autozone or O-Reilly Auto Parts. Try and find a place that will check the codes for free. Then you can decided what you have to fix and put the money towards fixing the problem.

Q: did you reset your battery after you installed your intake?
If you didn't you need to do that.
-To make the light go away, just unplug your battery for about half an hour to an hour and the plug it back in.
-Tighten all hoses and rings, make sure there are no air leaks. The best way to tighten all the air hoses is to use zip ties.
If all that doesn't work then take to a shop and get a reading from your E.C.U; but to save time and money I suggest doing that first, I did it and all my problems with the intake went away.
