Canada breaks question

hey guyz, got 2 lil questions...is it possible to change the rear breaks(drums) to the same as the front ones (caliper)...i got a 1990 corolla sr5 (body: ae92, engine: 4afe)...
ok, and how hard is it to change break pads and shoes?

Nope. Front rotors are different than the rear ones that the GTi corolla has.
Changing the shoes is a piece of cake if you know what you're doing and got beer around.

so there are no aftermarket parts what so ever?
do i need any special tools for chnaging the shoes?

Pliers, screwdriver, few M8 threaded bolts (to get the drums off) and most importantly 6 pack of beer.

i feel like an idiot to ask but what are M8 threaded bolts?...i wonder if its the same name we use here in canada...

they are a thread standard for metrical bolts. there are two holes for bolts in the drums, you place the bolts there and tighten them. The drums come off with a pop
