Exclamation 84-87 Corolla Part Out

I have a 1985 Corolla LE w/ a 4A-LC engine. I am parting the car out while saving for a new one. I was pondering an engine rebuild but don't consider it worth it with a 4-AC. I also don't have the time. So I'm parting it out. Everything is in great shape. Post here or email me if interested in a particular part or whole car. It runs fine except that it needs a new brake master cylinder and a new radiator. I'll sell the whole car for $500 obo. Parts can be figured out individually. Let me know if interested.

The carb was bought rebuilt less than a year ago. I'm asking $125 for it. You can have the rear struts for $25 apeice. (Excluding shipping.) Let me know what you think.

The car is white with black trim. The paint job was redone at Maaco last spring. all the body panels are in good shape, with only a few minor rust spots. What color is yours? Also, if you have a corolla with flush headlights the front fenders won't fit. I also am selling all of the headlight assemblies and everything, in that case. I made a custom set of fog lights where the front blinkers were, and I wired up my marker lights as the blinkers. The fogs act as marker lights.

About the transmission:
I'm still checking to make sure I have a T50. I should know tomorrow night. The clutch does slip, but I'm assuming that if you were going to pull the tranny out you would use your old one or replace it.

I need a side view mirror for the drivers side, if its a hatch then the trunk also. Also the little door cover for the center console. A dash would be nice also.

Still have the carb?

Do you still have the carburetor for sale and if the front axles are good and you want to remove them I need those too. Please let me know asap, I have a 86 Nova I may be able to use for these parts as well.

Cake: I do have a drivers' side mirror. The car is a sedan, so no trunk. I don't understand what you mean by "little door cover." Could you explain? I wonder if we have compatible cars. My dash has a crack in it and I took the whole thing out and custom painted it flat black.

Bob: I still do have the carb. It should fit your 86. I need to check on the condition of the axles and price them. I am in Overland park too. What a coincidence. Maybe you can come take a look at the car sometime.

I bought the carb off this car for $100 for my mother in law's car in Iowa. When I got there, I found that the last professional mechanic had left the three distributor vacuum hoses unhooked which was causing the stalling problem. So I don't need the carb. I heard the car run before it was removed and it seemed OK. In fact, the whole car was in pretty good shape if anyone is still needing parts.

This was advertised as a one year old rebuilt carb and it has a "FC 284" sticker on it which means it came from the FC company and sells for $290 new.

I'd sell the carb for $90 and I'll pay shipping.

email me directly if you like robert.ford@jocoks.com
