im getting the Toyota Corolla S.
i was wondering if the fog lights have a separate on and off switch like the regular lights

Yes it has a dial on the light stick.

Your headlights have to be "on" in order to have the fog lights turn on. But they are seperate (ie: you can have the fog lights "off" with headlights "on")

Only other option is to hack your wiring up - no idea how but I'm sure it could be done somehow.

Mine are separate, but I had to buy the whole fog light system for my car, cause the LE model doesn't come with fog lights. So I can have the headlights of and my fogs on. But if you want to do that, you need to probebly buy a separate switch for that and hack the wiring system like the rolla-XRS said.
