I know that most of you guy are from Canada. But it sound like you guys know what you guys are doing. As for my coming from drag to drift is different. I still want to learn and may-be teach some drager that drifting takes talent and skills to be a better driver.

I my self have never drifted and probably won't try it until next year. Like I said before you should join Club 4AG. You should read their reference section.
Here are a few drifting links from there.

One thing I knowticed they left out is that you should start off practicing in a parking lot where there are no security checks, no one can hear you or pot holes.
You should go when it rains that way you can go at slower speeds as well as save your tires from wearing out faster.

not that i would know anything about drifting,

but it would make sense to learn to walk before you run..

learn to drive a circuit well, and learn to induce oversteer when you want to, and learn to control it..

then maybe you can try drifting

in my opinion, drifting is an extension of "normal" driving skills.. so learn those first..

IMHO and all that other crap..

Very ture. Thats actually why I won't even think of drifting this year. I wanted to take some lessons on the track first.

I would suggest getting comfortable with driving your car harder than you would on the street by participating at motorsports events like autox and lapping days...

After 3 years of driving on the track, only now am I starting to get comfortable with getting a lil sideways...it takes a lot of practice.

Good luck

braking points. I think thats the most important thing to learn...is how deep you can brake. and you're not going to know that unless you keep trying. its a trial and error process.
