The 93 ones are a lot nicer. They're spring loaded, but also curved and will not fit there.

And SR5 Rolla is right. The OEM cupholder for the late model AE86 was in the centre console, and was totally useless and fragile.

it does look nice. i wasn't aware that u guys had that centre cupholder. my mom's 02 camry has that i think, i can't stand it! it's a real pain.

I wanted to install that cup holder too in my car,.. i had two different ones. but i got lazy,... so i still hav that stupid centre cup holder. I hav to keep lifting my elbow up when i go to 2nd or 4th.

It's fairly simple to do. You'e got to file off the two rear tabs, and notch out the sides for it to fit the radio bracket, but no big deal. I'll probably have the writeup done over the weekend.

My 88 sr5 has one too but i never use it cause i have a tilting face head unit and a drink wont fit but it has a nice place for quarters.
