Angry Anybody ever take a lease back?

well its been 3 years but i have to give my leased corolla back

its nice - corolla sport - blue - 2000!!

i'll miss it.

now, one of my tires is rather balled and my brake pads are feeling rather low hehe

how exactly do they inspect lease returns? do they drive them around? do they just make you sign papers and take the keys? this is actually my first return as amazing as that sounds

It's better to trade it in 1 month prior to the lease ending. Especially if you are over your miles.

They check for broken windows, dents, scratches, tires. You can get some used tires for like 20 bucks each and slap them on there if yours are bald. Make sure the interior is pretty clean. Make sure the brakes aren't grinding.

You should call and ask them the method they use to determine the allowable dent/scratch size. It varies from dealer to dealer from 1.5 to 3 inches or so. It will give you a chance to try and buff anything close out.

I think there must be standards for all Toyota vehicles...however In Ontario, the vehicle must past a government safety inspection to ensure that all parts work as they are intended. There's minimum levels for tire tread and brake pade thickness, no windsheild cracks, etc. If you're out of spec, you're being charged for it.

While not safety related, the dealer will also count major cosmetic stuff that isn't wear related...like dents in doors, fenders, etc.
