GZE Swap - The Video

I'm still scared to really rail on it. Plus, 3' of exhaust doesn't make the neighborhood too happy ;D

The mic gain was too high, so it's slightly distorted. I can only go so fast as I come up on cars so quickly now....hehe

Well, driving with no hood since intercooler is on top. Plus I got no exhaust, so I have to keep things on the QT.

But yes....daytime/better videos to come!

Tek, i got some ??s as I am considering a 4agze swap for my 91 rolla. how much did it cost for your gze motor, whered u get it, what condition? do u know if i can use an aftermarket ecu or sumthin if i cant get ahold of a stock gze ecu? The motors i saw on ebay didnt look like they came with the ecu, and the gze can only run with the ecu made for it, and i hear the gze ecu's are hard to find. How long did the swap take you, and was it hard in your opinion?

I got a front clip indirectly from Venus Auto in Cali. Paid $1400 for it and some change for a friend to deliver it.

The motor was rather dirty, but excellent condition:

A little cleaning, knuckle banging and voila:

You can run just about any motor on aftermarket ECUs. Yes, the stock ECUs are like gold though.

I strongly urge you (or anyone) to get a front clip if they're not going standalone management. Because with a cut harness, trying to find the igniter, solenoid resistor, etc., things will add up VERY fast.

Just got exhaust put on it tonight (nothing special...just quiet) and I can finally hear that sexy supercharger whine!

Cool

Looks like great fun, but the idea is to stop at the stopsign you bastard, not roll through the damned thing.

Due to the fact that I'm using the C52, I have to be gentle on it. So, no lame ass burnouts.

LMAO..you're only the 5000000th person to say that.

See the small white sign below the stop sign? "Right turn permitted without stopping."
