my dealer just informed me that the remote start cant be put in at this time, at a remote starter place in town" WHY?

Give us more details as why you can't and when did they say you could get a remote starter put in?.....I'm sure that a dealer would do this for you at any time (at about 5 times the cost of other places) as they love to make money at doing anything, but your leaving some valuable info out that you haven't told us as how many miles on your car and "I have to do it on my own later on" what's that mean?....if you want this done before your 60,000 engine warranty runs out I would sit down with the owner and the service manager and go over your warranty with a fine tooth comb and if they ok it get in writing and if they don't do some bitching they always get scared of that, on real important matters never talk to anyone but the top decision making guys at the dealership (Owner- service manager- customer service person), and if they give you a negative answer get some balls and say "WHY" and don't give up, it just might work ....JMHO....Raddman Out...

It shouldn't void any warranty, only maybe for you starter. But I actually heard that the remote start of the car is safer then turning on the car by hand.
