Now.. considering there's been flurries on the last week in the GTA. I think barrie was almost buried in snow 2 days ago JK! but it wouldn't wait any longer than this week or next to put on your snows. Last time I waited I ended up hitting a guardrail backwards on the 401, cuz we got a snowfall out of nowhere.

Honestly, there is no better time than now. I only say this because it's already November. Here in NY, we're slowly starting to see that trend of the freezing weather gradually approaching. I can only imagine how it's getting at GTA where Ren69 is...

winter driving isn't so bad if u have a decent set of snow tires.....just have to be easy on the throttle when u feel the back end swinging.....and ease up making turns......get some practice in an empty parking lot after a nice snow fall.......and the hand brake comes in handy too.....

I guess it depends upon what kind of driving you do and where. Here in Minneapolis, Minnesota I have a rwd '81 Corolla station wagon. No weight on those rear wheels but in 13 years I've never used snow tires even though I have a set. We usually don't get huge amounts of snow here, generally it's cleared pretty fast, and I just wait a bit until they clear the roads after a heavy fall. If you take it easy when driving then all-seasons in good condition can work OK.
