I have had many quality issues w/my CE...for example, seals around doors, gaps in my dash, little light flickers that the dealers can't fix, hard starts, squeeeeeky brakes........
Does anybody but me have problems w/ thier 04 Corolla?
I have 26,000 on it...and have done all the services!
Read my post "Corolla/Dealer horror stories" and you won't feel so bad, I have an Corolla 03 S...I have a few gaps on the inside too and reading reviews on this car before I bought it gave an A as to body parts fitting... I would pursue them about the light flickers till they replace the whole fixture..also they replaced both seals around my front doors, plus I had squeeeeeky brakes also but just in the morning after a damp night, they told me it was because the pads and rotor were "glazing over" from normal use, I put the best ceramic pads in on about 8,000 miles ago and they are ride beautiful with no more squeeeeeeks..you didn't say if they fixed your hard starts? I would think if its still under warranty I would go to the top man and customer service and bitch and complain my ass off till I got some results. All the repairs they did to my car in 2 years had to cost them $2000, another thing owners don't know is that they will give you a free front end alignment only up to a year after the purchase, so take advantage of this...its worth $60...plus if they tell you that you need a cabin air filter do it yourself its easy the filter cost $20 and they charged me $60 total to put it in...a ten minute job....but all in all I love this car...go get there ass's before your warranty runs out and don't let up.....Raddman Out....
So I am not alone...thanks for the advice. I just expected that when I bought "toyota quality" that my car would be a problem free experience. I understand that even the top notch cars will have problems, but I just wasn't preparred for this.
Warranty work is great, but, If I wanted to be in the dealer 3x a month I would have bought a Kia Rio
anyway..my car is due for a O/C, we shall see what Toyota will do for me this time
Good luck...another thing that I'm stating to notice is my interior lights are starting to blow....in two weeks my sherfter light blew and both my lights behind the heater contols, also my map light blew...the ones behing my heater contols were a "bitch to replace" I just hope this isn't a trend and ny dash bulbs start blowing too.....Raddman Out....
yah...my interior lights are the ones that flicker....especially my radio..wierd. I'll be driving and I hear a "CLICK" and my car goes dark on the inside...then "CLICK" and it's like christmas.
The only problems I have are with my breaks and constant replacing of them. Pisses me off that I have to change them so often. I have about 17k on my car and have replaced my break pad twice already.
I did have a problem with my stock head unit, but I got rid of it and put in a kenwood deck.

have been driven my almost 3 years already. haven't notice any problem beside the strip on the roof and passenger side speaker were defect... so i got it free replace under warranty.
The plastic around my stereo that holds the vents..they call it a "bezel" does not fit correctly. I have had it replaced twice under warranty and still have a HUGE gap. I can see right into my dash. It is awful and unsightly. I wish Toyota could fix my car.
theman86_2, remember its only good up to 12 months after purchase....when you take it in just say that it seems to be pulling left/right...whatever...I took mine in after 11 months and I was surprised to find out that my alignment was off a little...hey take advantage of everything you can get for free...we all bust our ass's to make a living.....Raddman Out...
hey buddy,

My suggestion, you try a different toyota dealership. If they don't budge, tell them, that you want a full refund on the car, because toyota can't fix the problem. Make up some kind of a story to make them budge. Otherwise, you'll be taking your car there forever and they will not fix your problem.
