Re: remote starter using more gas

I haven't noticed anything like that yet. My remote start works normally, but different remote starts have different ways of getting installed so it might be true for your's.

Here is a therory: He has one of those remote starters that monitor tempature and battery charge. So now his car is starting up on it's own over night and running his fuel down just to keep the battery topped off and his car warm.

No really, I'd like to know what your theory is regarding the accelerated fuel consumption of a remote starter equipped vehicle.

I get lower MPG in colder weather. Not sure of cause. If I start the car and let it run to warm up the MPG drops quite a bit. This may be the cause.
