AE92 Front Sway Bar Bushings

(New owner here of a 1991 Corolla GTS) Nothing found about this on "Search", so....

Is it my imagination or does the front sway bar frame attachment also hold the rear of the front control arm in place?

If so, can I just loosen it enough to try and get new bushings installed, or is it more complicated than that?

AND, while I'm at it, who makes some poly front bushings for the stock front sway bar?

Any and all advice appreciated.

Thx from Glendale AZ.,

I recall putting the sways on my '92 without removing anything else, probably want to support the suspension with a jackstand.
Nice car, like the Dart too.

it should be like 2 or 3 bolts holding a piece of metal that holds the bushing in place, you shouldnt have to remove the control arm and if the new bushing is cut you should be able to slide it over, also i can mold poly sway bushings if needed, as well as urethane motor mounts

i'm not sure if GTS uses the same front swaybar as the one used by AE92 Sedan.

My AE92 sedan requires removing the lower-arm bracket first. What is more vexing is that removing the bracket causes slight change of alignment settings. Sometimes, if you're unlucky, you have to do alignment again.

the sways off the 89 and 91 are pretty much the same, also the bushings will be completly new solid polyurethane ones, price is dependent on dificulty for me, altho it wont be too hard, i just have to make a cast mold and pour some urethane into them, that and ill need a template, luckily the molds are re useable so i can make a set for myself too
