The 4AC block is generally the same as the early 4AG blocks, but the internals are not as strong. It'll be far more cost effective to get a complete 4AG with all accessories because the 4AG mounts accessories differently than the 4AC. Like flashmn said... pistons are completely different. They may clear the extra 2 valves in the 4AG head... but then again... they may not. Cranks are completely different, the 4AG having a much beefier crank with 8 bolts for the flywheels as opposed to the 4AC using 6. The rods are much beefier on the 4AG also. Building a 4AG from a 4AC will cost a bit more than simply picking up a complete 4AG...
