Exclamation stupid PIECE OF ...........!!!

my car is back to its flithy smoking again.. i drove from the lower left hand corner of south dakota all the way to UND (North Dakota) this weekend.. when i got there the white bumper i was supposed to have was caked with black.. not knowing what the f was wrong.. i checked under the hood.. (while running) sounded fine.. let it sit for a few hours.. .. i was quite pissed at this point.. when it was time to leave i drove out and made it about an hour (about a six hour drive home) from my home when i noticed my oil pressure had come on.. i failed to check the oil in North Dakota.. and now it was well below where it should be.. and was running on almost nothing.. this incredibly pissed me off because this means that it had burnt almost 4 quarts of oil in less than 800 miles of interstate driving at 80 mph.. also the bumper was quite engulfed in blackness again.. i made sure and put in new 10w 40 high mile oil now.. see if that helps a little for the time being.. (until i take it into the shop) but if anyone already knows the reason to this problem id really like to know and how much u think its going to cost to repair a problem like this.. although numerous people (not mechanics) have all said it is the rings leaking oil into the gas mixture and burning it.. if so is this an expensive procedure to repair.. i am fed up with this car.. its done this for along time.. and it just hit 70,000.. it is a prizm but isnt it supposed to be a toyota and if so.. i cant believe its already losing its luster.. although some of you probably think i was mistreating my car in the first place for not doing something or checking the engine over properly in UND.. (im just not that great of a mechanic as of now and i dont know much causes for motor problems (as im only 16) but enough about that.. plz answer my questions if possible.. thank you i really appreciate it!!!

If you ran it like you said you did too long (without any oil) busted rings is the least of your worries. If it´s not making any particular sounds with the engine runing than maybe it could´ve been only the piston rings. If i´m not mistaken, some rings can be changed from the top without necesarily havin to open the engine block, wich is usualy expensive. IMHO i´d recomend you to listen to the engine running and chehk if there are any clashing sounds. If everything sounds fine and smooth, than take it to a trusty mechanic to see what he sais. If he tells you you have to open the block, maybe you should get a second opinion, but if he tells you that he´ll change the rings on the top than go for it. (I´m no mechanic, I just had a similar problem with my car and that´s how I learned some stuff, or so I think). If it can be fixed just by changing some rings without opening the block, I´d say it´ll cost about 150-200$ (depending on the rings you choose and the mechanic, at least thats arround what it cost me here in Venezuela)
Anyway, take more care of your car cause if you had let it run a bit more, you would´ve had to redo the whole f..... engine, and that´ll go probably for about 1000$ or more
PS: IMHHHO

Well what kind of car is it first of all?? are you sure you aren't putting too much oil in it?? too much can be worse than not enough. Also it sounsd like your piston rings are shot. Gettin them replaced is not going to be cheap. The rings themselves probably on like 60-80, but the labour will be bad. They have to literally take apart the ingine block. Tough to say how much but needless to say, it will be in the hundreds.

It doesn't smoke when you drive it?

Do a compression test.

Its a test to see if your engine maintains compresion in the piston chambers, I think, It helps you detect if the chamber has a leak somewhere that could be asotiated to the piston rings (IMHO)
