Stock speaker size

What is the stock speaker size for the front door speakers and the rear deck speakers?

I have the JBL system and I have 6.5" speakers in the front, that look just like the speakers in the DIY except they are screwed in instead of rivets. Curiously Crutchfield only seems to recommend 5-1/4" speakers but my 6.5" Polks fit right in there. On the rear deck I have 6x9s. You can of course check the rear deck by opening up the trunk.

Thanks I have a set of 2-way 6.5" mb quartz and 3-way 6x9's that I had in my 97 eclipse GS-T that I was going to try to install. Off the topic but if anyone knows someone that needs an injen intake and turbo xs bov for a gen 2 dsm let me know.

Well I took the passenger side door off and the speaker is attached with what appears to be metal rivots... I don't know how to remove them so looks like the rolla is going to the shop for the install. Does anyone know if the rear speakers are the same? (no screws) If not I will take off the rear deck tonight.

That's what I was saying, that unless you have the JBL system the speakers are attached with rivots just like in the DIY guides. It sounds like you haven't read the do it yourself guides that are linked at a few sites:

http://www.corollatoys.com/diy/11.htm

http://www.corollatoys.com/diy/8.htm

You can go to the main site to see the rest of the guides.

Thanks for the tip but on the front door instructions it says to cut away the old speaker and that the bracket is standard for all 6.5" speakers. Is the bracket on the car already or is it saying I should have an after market bracket?

I dont know on the 03+ but you may need spacers to keep the windows from hitting the magnets when down. 3/4"-- 1"

The rivots have to be drilled out.
