how to convert from 3ZZ-FE to 1ZZ-FE/2ZZ-GE

Howdy, i have an 04 corolla with a 3ZZ-FE engine (euro 1.6L non-VVTi). it is unimpressive to say the least. But thats the only engine available from Toyota for the corolla here in my part of asia.

I am interested in importing either a 1ZZ-Fe from the US or finding a 2ZZ-Ge.

couple of questions though:

1. Does the 2ZZ-Ge come with a supercharger installed? I am interested in installing the TRD supercharger.
2. Are either of these two engines a direct fit into the engine bay or they would need mounting modifications?

no, the 2zz-ge doesn't have a supercharger, and the TRD one is not for it, it won't work with it.


both should be a direct fit.

there is a supercharger available from i believe blitz for the 2zz.

the 1ZZFE has a TRD supercharger available for it

the 2ZZ-GE is VVTL-I . I woudl personally go with the 1zz and supercharge the bastard
