3sge?

I have a 91 auto 4afe corolla and a spare 3sge, is my idea remotely possible? I know I will need the engine electrical goodies but I dont think the motor will fit past the pulleys

It'll fit. Don't worry about that. But for the amount of work you're about to do, I'd start with a 3S-GTE

ehhh, its just a 3sge gen 1, I better not turbo it for the trans sake, will it bolt to the trans and work? I know the a mounts are different than the s mounts, i can probably fix that, but I dont think the rest of the drivetrain will survive a ge, much less a gte motor

i would swap to a 5speed that auto is worthless also i beleive the 3sge uses the same 5speed as the 5sfe S series trans vs the c or e series 4-6 speeds on the A blocks but since its a 3sge i know the gte uses a e58 5speed... sorry for babeling

It won't bolt on to your tranny. You'll need engine, tranny, ECU and everything else. You'll need to cut and weld engine mounts. Don't know if you need to change drive shaft and wheel hub. Its do able but lots of work. That's why we suggest swap in complete 3S-GTE. The 3S-GE don't have enough power to worth the trouble since its the same deal with 3S-GTE.

you will need a 3SGE transmission for sure, the 4AFE transmission is not the same.

and custom driveshafts, because the ones on the tranny from a 3S series FWD have longer driveshafts.
