Thats a TE72, I own one myself.
If you do got a 3T-C under the hood, it has very good potential.
www.paradiseracing.com has a lot of parts for old corollas.
Hope i was of some help

After a recent google search, i discovered:
KE70 has the 4K engine
TE72 has the 3TC engine.

2T-G or 3T-G would be a good option.
A friend of mine has a KE70 Station wagon with a hopped up 4A-GE and front suspension from a GTi corolla.

you'll know by what motor it's equipped with. if it's a K-series motor then it would a KEXX but if it has a T-series motor then it would be a TEXX. i think it's better if you post more info like what year or better yet post a picture of your car or a similar one. if it's a T motor then like Dark Prince said you have a 1.8L 3TC motor. it's a bulletproff motor if build right IMO. try researchin on turbocharged 3TCs coz they're crazy fast and very capable running single digits in the 1/4 mile. but if you wanna go crazy go do a 3TGTE swap. it's a built stock motor and you'll be very happy with but the downside of it s it's a rare motor so some parts might be hard to come by. goodluck!

cool.....thanks alot for all your help. i know the engine is a 1.8 and it is carburated. the car is a 2 door hatchback with an automatic. right now, all it really needs is a master cylinder and a brake job, but still drives very good. i was thinking about converting to a standard trans and welding the spider gears so i can take it drifting, is that even possible on non fuel injected cars. but yes, the 1.8 is a very reliable and strong engine, it hauls the car around like if it was nothing, so who know? thanks for all your help guys.

on another note, does anyone know of brake upgrades.

any RWD is capable of drifting IMO and you really don't need that much power to start drifting anyways. if you want to convert it to manual transmission, try locating a T50 tranny from any TEXX Corollas coz the bellhousing if i'm not mistaken are all the same. now a more common car you might be able to find a T50 is from (85-87) Corolla GT-S. but you need to convert the bellhousing though.

FYI, i saw a kick-ass video of box type TE72 sedan drifting in Japan.
