it's not hard to find parts for 'em you just have to know where to look. more information on the car might be a little helpful. "peanut" doesn't really say much! is it a KE or a TE?

if you have a 3K then you have a KE30 not a TE21. if you have a TEXX you should have a 1.6L 2T motor hence the "T" in TEXX.

post a pix or a car similar to it then we'll know better. where are you located? if it's in the Philippines maybe the motor was swapped already.

dude.. don't think just becoz it's not a TE27 then it's garbage. KEs and TEs with the same model years are basically the same. just the difference in engines and some body panels. any car under $500, if it's from the '70s is worth it if you ask me. i'm old school inside out. grab it, if you can try to bargain some more but there is hope even with a 3K. go get it man, unless it's rusted to hell!

btw,the owner told me that there are problems with the starter, need to replace driver seat and clutch.i asked the owner if he can give it at 250 because i wil take the risk of buying a car that i dnt even turn on the engine once we close our deal.correct me sir if im wrong.my computations are:
250 -car itself
150 - towing serv
150 -clutch
100 -starter

so it will cost me about 650 irregardless of the paint and other repairs.i still dont knw yet his 3kc engine.thank you very much.your reply will be a great help.

dude.. best bet is to take pix then post it here. and try to get a good mechanic that knows old corollas to help you with the inspection. but either way if you have room to store it get it then just start collecting the parts you need. there are a lot of guys that has a lot parts for these cars. try buy and sell forum at club4ag.

no worries... remember if you can't get parts in the states, there's always Philippines you know, hehehehe! goodluck bro and keep us updated.

btw, if it's a KE20 then it can't be a 1974. KE20s are from 1970-1973. the KE30s are from 1974-1976 (i think!)
