Talking need opinions or suggestions

all right guys and girls. now that i found out that i have a TE72 1982 'rolla, i'm gonna start building it up. here is what i was thinking for my set up:

weber side drafts, msd ignition, forged pistons 10.5:1 c/r, custom grind cam, ported/polished head with 7 angle valve job, titanium retainers and sodium filled stelite valves, polished and knife edged crank, and header with high flow cat. oh yeah, and NOS, direct port injection.

other than that, a full manual swap with denso flywhee and non brand carbon clutch. i am hoping to go 4 wheel disk brakes if possible with some mods of course. as for interior, a rollcage and gut everything else that i don't need. still trying to find some discontinued rims and hopefully i will track them down soon.

well, let me know what you think.
all suggestions and opinions will be appreciated.

are you sure you want to shoot NOS on a 10.5:1 comp motor? and if you're thinking of boosting your 3TC, why not go with turbo instead of NOS?

boosting....

i would love to boost my 3TC, but i have never boosted a carbuerated engine. i've boosted quite a few EFI engines, but never a non EFI car. any ideas on how to go about it? do i need to get a box made for the carb to sit in or something? what about electronics and ignition. since there is no ECU, how do i go about trying to set up boost maps and ignition retard for presssure increase?

A 7 angle valve job is overkill. Go for 3 angle and spend the saved cash on more goodies.

Not a bad way to spend 10,000 dollars....

there is an EFI version of the 3TC called 3TE from the Toyota Corolla GT model (TE70). i don't know how hard it is to find one though. you can turbocharged the carbs. i've seen holley carbs being used a lot.

try contacting Luis from Paradise Racing he's running a full blown 3TC on their AE86. here's the link... http://www.paradiseracing.com/index.html

i'm just worried about the internals not holding up and since you're thinking of direct injection(NOS) everytime you floor the gas NOS keeps shooting in it. hehehe. it's definitely gonna be quick no doubt. like i said earlier, talk to guys that have done it and see what advise they'll give you. goodluck bro and keep us updated.
