PCV Valve

when i went to take off the filter casing off my carb..i noticed that there were things attached to it like the "PCV Valve" and another small hose that goes into the head..can i go without these things when i change the casing to a cold air intake style with PVC pipe and a cone air filter....

You _can_ go without them... but you shouldnt, just find a way to attach the hoses to your new intake tube. I think theres only one hose that goes from the filter housing to the left side of the engine valvecover, the other hose goes to the intake manifold from the right side of the valvecover (PCV valve). The other one is just a inlet to bring in (clean) air inside the valvecover.

My motor has more work done to it then just the airfilter ducting, so sending a pic of it would be useless.

As a general idea, both of the hoses have to be connected... What comes out of there is blowby air from the crankcase, which is then burned.
