Question T3?

i was told that this was pulled out of a nissan SR20DET... but what turbo is this? T3? what trim?

likewise, pardon my ignorance... does it have an external wastegate? what else do i need to slap it on my engine (other than the usual manifold, pipings, intercooler, bov)?

i'm also thinking of using a VR4 intercooler... would it suffice?

thanks a heap!

Since it appears that you're running a GZE already, you're probably set for fuel management. So uh, yeah. Manifolds, piping, the stuff you mentioned. The IC should be fine, but for a turbo of that size, you could get away with something smallish (I don't know how big the VR4 one is) to minimize lag. Something smaller than your GZE one could work, since the turbo is a lot more efficient than a roots blower. I'd just save a bit of cash and get the GZE one mounted up front. Oh, with a GZE bottom end, I'd try to get a slightly bigger turbo. The T25 is supposed to start getting really crappy at about 12psi or thereabouts.

that's cool. i only plan to boost up to around 12psi max anyway...

but i've seen cars boost all the way up to 18 or 20psi using either a toyota CT20 or the mitsu td04.
