Front end noise
89 Corolla SR5, 160K miles. The car is making a crunching sound when I make inclined sharp corners, like climbing a parking garage ramp. I can feel a roughness in the steering on these same corners. The car drives fine. I don't detect or feel any problems in the steering otherwise. The car drives smooth. No play in the steering. The tires look OK, but they are a couple of years old. Maybe its just the tires? Are there any front end parts on these cars that should be replaced at 160K? I have not replaced anything!
