2005 Toyotas, OBD-II or CAN data bus?

Are 2005 Toyotas still using OBD-II for the data connector? When I was looking at 2004 Mazdas they had already swichted over to the new standard, I think it's called CAN. I'm thinking about getting a OBD-II scanner that hooks up to a palm pilot but I dont think they make those for the new system and they will be expensive as hell if they do.

No they should be OBD-II, even the mazdas should be OBD-II for diagnostics. CAN-path might be the internal computer communication on the car, but OBD-II is required for engine/etc diagnostic analysis.

all 2005 corollas are CAN.. they use the same interface as OBD-II, but CAN works by having seperate computers for different systems inside your car. A generic OBD2 scanner may work, but it won't pull all the data.
