Question Headers rubbing

Anyone having issues with headers rubbing on an AE86? Muffler shops states it can't do anything about it and I am looking for options on what to try to resolve the problem.

Thanks for your input in advance.

heat it up with a torch and bend it, move what ever it is hitting farther away, check your motor mounts, get another brand of header

I was thinking of getting a new one. I am looking for options. I may go with a shorty and hopefully that resolves the issue.

buddy had same problem, but his ws rubbing cause motor mounts were bad. check them out. other than that, maybe the brand you have doesn't clear for some reason, call them and ask about it and if not, change headers.

Just an update. We decided to go with a new header which is a 4-1 instead of the 4-2-1 which made us clear it without a problem. Now the headgasket went.

Can't win with this car. New reconditioned engine went in today. Guess that should take care of the problems.
