I remember when I bought my first Corolla GT-S. He thought it was a total P.O.S.. A number of my family members kept asking me why I wanted such an old car. My car sat in the drive way with a broken frame.
Then one day my dad took it for a spin. He finally had some good things to say about it. Then a month later he took it for a spin again. Then the next week. Then twice a week before I came home from work. This continued on for a while.
Then I bought my good GT-S from Randy. After that he got his hands on dealership plates and drove the broken frame GT-S around for a while.
After I got plates and insurance he has been using any old excuse to take my new one out for a spin. He had it for a whole day after the tune up was done. It's a good thing he put some gass back into the tank.
So now he has gone from a hater to a fan of the AE86. Now he is probably going to sell his Olds in a few weeks. He may not buy a AE86 but I belive he will probably try and buy a manual sports car. You can tell he misses the 5 speed.

Then get a new family. You dont need negative influence like that in your life anyway!

Here's a little story ...Eddy from Alta Nissan gave my pops the keys to the Stillen Maxima SMX.... my dad was Zooming around Woodbridge then we heading down the 427 and we racing a Ford Contour SVT till the SVT gave up.... Then I said... yo dad we gonna lose the lane... he downshifts into third... and goes goes and I was like... umm there's no lane left... that's when he tested out the big brembos

My dad loves my car he takes corners in city streets faster than i would have thought he would do... I think of him as my "Bunta". Though it takes alot before I can get him to talk about car modifications and stuff.
