more 04 problems....

Toyota replaced my battery...said I had a "dead cell" causing my elec. problems.

Just yesterday toyota replaced my dash board, and all the plactic around it to make the ugly seam go away....didn't really work. I am mad as hell.

Also, they forgot to reconnect my passanger air bag when they had my dash apart..had to bring car back again....5th time for the dashboard problem.

you're not the only one having problems with your 04.

I got the ground effects package. My front lips weren't primed properly, all the paint started chipping off. After a lot of heated conversations with the manager, they finally decided to replace it for me.

My passanger door vibrates like crazy. There's even air leaking into the car.

My front 2 windows vibrate when i want to put them down. (i think its got to do with the motor).

Everytime I turn on the car and put it into Drive and accelerate, the engine makes 4 clicking sounds.

I love the engine they put into the new camrys, but the overall quality and finish is not the same as gen3/4s . But thats just my opinion based on my experience.

Maybe its one of the plants causing this problem.. where were your cars made?? NUMMI or Cambridge?? Often the places that Toyota contracts to do jobs like this don't do their jobs properly.

I hate to admit it, but the plastic parts on the Corolla leave ALOT to be desired. I've got a dash vibration somewhere behind the glovebox. And I feel your pains which have been made worse by a lazy dealer with no QA.

I am in the same boat with a dealer right now (I will leave nameless) who breaks two things for every one thing they fix.

Once they fix the problems they caused, I'm going to a reliable dealer. You sghould do the same - as not all dealers are the same. Some are great. Some suxors. It pays to check around.

It is a frustrating situation. It seems like I have been at Toyota 3 times a month since the car was new. I mean, if they can't fix it...don't....lemon law it and lets move on. They worked on my dash 5 times nad it still looks like the grand canyon.

oh well....guess I got stuck with the bad rolla.

how do I find which plant it was buit at?

^^ they should just replace the whole thing for you! They're just wasting your time and their own.
