i went to some motor parts stores to get the filter and do my oil change today to stores and they di not have the filter no even the part number so i went to family toyota the dealer a went to got my xrs and they say the same sh.... so if ne1 here knows the number it will be a very good help

The Dealer said they don't know the part number? I'd get a different dealer then. All that info is in the Electronic Parts Catalogue. Go to the parts counter of any dealership and ask them to look it up in the computer. They should have a GUI picture that you click on to drill through to the part.

All I know is that the filter is apparantly different than regular Corolla. So beware!!!

yep the guy look at the pc and tell me that is no there and show me the filter for the regular corolla and say well u can go and take it off and bring it so i dunno know what part is yet

The regular factory filter for a corolla is a yzza2. Your is going to be the yzza1

Even the dealer who sell you the XRS don't know? They need to update their software.
I'll say the same one as Celica GTS and Matrix XRS, same engine anyway. Then as long as it can screw on and about same size, it ok.

The yzza2. or yzza1 will fit nicely. YZZA1 is the taller filter.

The part number should be marked on it so with a flashlite you might get lucky.
Call another dealer. Sure;y there's more than one dealer in SoCal??

Alternatively, call Toyota Customer Service directly, tell them how stupid the dealer is and aske them to get you the part#.

Parts America has a Purolator oil filter for the XRS---L14477 for $3.99

Nice car and not to burst your bubble but the grill looks likes some a bad wallpaper job
