i need some help from the corolla's

i am going to buy an 86 tercel and i plan to swap in the AE101 4agze and 5spd tranny
where can i find a clutch for this beast?

also i plan on borrowing the rear suspension and disc brakes from an fx 16 gts but what years are they i only know 87

look for an E51 clutch (88-89 mr2 supercharged)..... the e58 spline is the same, and the diamter is the same as well

I think you're gonna have more problems than just worrying about the clutch. If I'm not mistaken, that year Tercel had an E series motor. Not sure how the mounts line up, but I imagine it'll prove to be a task to wedge the GZE in there.

Best bet is to get a 4E-FTE, turbo'd 1.5L. VERY stout motor. I think some people have squeezed an easy 300HP on stock internals.

actually the 82-86 had the 3A(C) and the 87-99 tercels had the e series engines(3E 3EE 5efe)
im having some probs finding performance suspension parts for the 86 though(not surprising)

Just for clarification, are these the Tercels that had the engines mounted longitudally? Or were those the generation before?

4Aaron GE... you're talking about the 1st gen. tercel where it's mounted like a RWD config. but really it's a FWD. it uses a weird transaxle kinda like the Audi cars.

FX i think only came out in 1987-1988.
