Car jerking when starting from complete stop

Hi there,

Pls help me. I owned a Toyota Corolla EE90 year '89. The problem is my car will jerking when starting from complete stop, especially in the morning. However it will run finely after 5 minutes, or after warming it for few minutes. I already replace the spark plugs and its cables, contact, & vacuum pump. I also changed to thicker oil, 20W50 (genuine Toyota oil).
Pls help me, as I dont know what to do next.

Also, what is the recommended motor oil for old car like this? Previously I use Castrol GTX 15W40 but my friend advised me that the oil is to thin for old car like mine. Is it true?

Thanks

Check that you installed the spark plugs properly (just to be sure). Sounds like low idle or poor fuel/spark at start up.

15W-40 is too thin??? We use 10W-30 up here in Canada, and 5W-30 in the winter.. I got 5W-30 in my 89 AE92, warms up faster in cold temperatures. (Like -20C right now)
