05 Corolla S mufflers

hi guys, first of im totally new to this car parts business, so i might ask some stupid questions.

i have a 2005 Corolla S automatic, and i want to make my engine sounds a little better than now. so im guessing a muffler would do the job right? which mufflers would you guys recommend? also, what are headers and exhausts for? i just wanna make my rolla sounds much more sexier without spending too much money. thanks =)

TRD makes a muffler. Expensive though 400+ @ www.toyotaparts4u.com
Theres probably a few other options.

hehe, nice to know someone has the same bday as me. well i've been doing some browsing and it all leads to TRD parts. i was just looking at the TRD supercharger, and it costs ~$2700 i dont really care about modding, i just wanna make my engine sounds a lil better

I'm guessing you don't want it too loud rite?? try getting an intake and trd exhaust.. TRD exhausts are legal in the states of CA .. so if you ever get pulled because of your exhaust.. just show that and you are done.. .. I also think the TRD exhaust is one of the only exhausts that looks good on an 03 + corolla.. from what I've seen sofar.
