USA 90 corolla gts electrical probs..

Alright here is what is going on...put the key in the ignition and turn it on...no start, gagues dont come on, nothing execpt a click under the hood...now i thought it was a bad starter switch but was wrong as the problem still persist, ive checked every fuse in the thing and all are fine, also the starter is fine as if you "jump the silenode" i know i spelled that wrong, you can get the starter to engauge and the engine will start and run..........any clue as to where the prob might be hiding? any help will be very helpfull, thank.

bad connection at the battery...... these cars are VERY sensitive to a loose connection at the battery..... it will do exactly what you are talking about.... i've even had customers come in thinking it was a battery (who have owned corolla's)... i told them to go tighten it, many times they come back in thanking me
