Question Exhaust path question - 1989 Corolla Sedan

I tried to search w/o any luck, so here goes. Ok, my fiancée is getting a free ’89 Corolla 4-door from her parents as a wedding present. It has the 4AF motor, to be dealt with later, but it needs an exhaust now. Both the pipe and the muffler are rusted full of holes. The front section & manifold look ok. I have seen that there is a Pacesetter cat-back that is listed for the 2-door, but it doesn’t say if it will work on the 4-door. Basically I need to know if the 4-door and 2-door share an exhaust path (like the Solara & Camry), or am I going to have to do something not so bolt on?

Nice wedding present..

Don't go pacesetter, their mufflers are crap.. and I believe the catback is for the 4AGE cars. I would just go to one of your local muffler shops and get a cheap exhaust from front to back.

I believe they share the same exhaust path, the sedan and SR5 coupes have the same exhaust roughly.. but the GTS exhaust is sportier and dual tipped.. probably less restrictive.

Thanks for the 411 on the muffler. I am just trying to get it running reliable, and quite, for her, so I don't have to drive her everywhere .
