If you want to keep it consistent, drop in a 2TG like what my dad did to his 1976. He installed those old style BMW rims on it (not the BBS look alikes).

Word of advice.... stickers won't make the car faster.

By 1.3 and 1.0 you mean liters right?? like a 1.3 liter engine?? then yeah.. your car would probably be faster than a 1.0L motor car.

if you want it to go fast you can try and wedge in a 1ggte or if its too big, you can try a 13b from a series 4 onwards rx7 or you can be even more original and do a 20b (triple rotor turbo engine from a eunos/mazda cosmo) swap. it really depends on how much you're willing to spend.

however if you want to keep the engine in the family, i'd go for a 4agze or a 20v 4age. as i said before, its really up to how much you want to spend on it.

TURBOCHARGED 4K

here's a similar set-up of what you want.. http://ace.tupeck.com/Starlet_Turbo_Setup.asp

also do some extensive research on a 5K hybrid but it's gonna be expensive.

XXX,

With the same engine, RWD cannot win against a FWD. It is simply because of traction, a FWD has a lot of traction because the weight of the engine is directed to the driving wheels. In a RWD car, the wheels would slip first before actual traction is achieved beacuse the rear wheel does not have much weight on it.
