Question Rear Disc Brake Conversion for 94-97: Doable?

will it be do-able with Camry rear disc brakes? or perhaps from Celica?

if NO, i'm getting a 95-99 Subaru Legacy instead... they have rear discs.
I really want to get the Corolla Wagon... because it will classifield into under 2.0L's 2WD category... which i will versus components like AE86, MK2 or MK3 Golfs...etc which are comparable.

But The Legacy have 2.2 (137hp) with AWD which will versus much much stronger opponents in the AWD NA category. For Rally races, they either only have AWD NA or AWD Turbo for stockcars.

The Celica 86-99 Celica rear discs may work because the rear MacPhearson set-ups are very similar. The hubs are different however... no comment on the camry yet, I'd have to go take a look... ;]

Or you could spend a few extra bucks, and get AE101 brakes (non super-strut). I've seen it done, and I think there's a guy over at CorollaCustomz selling a set. Unfortunately, I don't know any details on what's involved.

me want this
i saw a rear disc conversion webpage once
the guy took Celica & Supra parts if i remember right
the only thing is it was a 5 lugs pattern instead of a 4 lugs
so you need wether universal rims or cheap ass base-wheel
anyway, i need to get info about this in local shop, maybe they know the answer

Those are solid axles... no go...

Umm.. the AE92 might work also. Their rears are slightly different because the lower suspension arms mount slightly differently onto the spindle.

just get the entire rear hub assembly from both sides of an ae92 gts (if you find a 90-91, the brakes are larger), including rotors, caliper, and if you can get the e-brake lines.... this will go into an ae102
