If you want bottom end, should've gone the 4AGZE route. The 20V was designed from the start to make power in the high RPM range.

You might be able to shift your torque band a wee bit with adj. cam gear, but even then...

I heard that having longer intake plenums increases torque...but don't quote me on that

If it's a manual you could also get a higher friction clutch disc

Yea, longer runners will increase torque a little...on a 16V.

And that last part... How would a grippier clutch increase bottom end torque? In that case, I'll go direct-drive!

Sorry for the confusion, after reading about it I realized it won't increase torque by getting a grippier clutch. I thought it would...

Thanks for correcting me

Get another engine. You won't get lowend with a high reving engine. You need to rev it.

On any engine actually. but its not that simple, you'd want to calculate when you want the pulse-resonance effect to occur, then make the pipes tuned to that length.

But...20V = ITBs + cheapskate = no manifold/runners

The itb's have a manifold, but its designed for high rpm powerband in mind, thats why its really short, making some velocity stacks wouldnt be that hard, but remember that you need space for airfilters.

Get a 7A-FE. Now THAT's low-end torque.

port and polishing will actually harm performance in low end. What you DONT need is oversized intake runners and intake ports, velocities of intake charge will slow down.

I'll vouch for the intake runner mod.
How long are the ones you have now?
Longer would likely produce a set of curved runners that'd be facing upwards, or towards the front of the car.

Or downwards.. but like I said, you cant just halfassedly guess how much you need, because you might end up having the resonance pulse effect on a bad rpm spot.
