Need help ASAP on why tail lights arent working

Need some help asap. I was installing one of those neon license plate frames on a friends car, I was splicing the + and - into the license plate lights when I later realized all the tail lights and license plate lights went out. But the brake lights hazards and turn signals still work. I re eletrical taped the splicings i had made but the bitch still doesnt work. CAn someone help me out. Its on a new ford taurus

i was kinda wondering that but I couldnt find her fuse box to find out + it was late so I was getting tired
