Guys, I need your help and advice, HELP!!!!

Hey guys, how are you. This is my first time on this forum. Let me introduce myself, my name is Boosh. My daily driver is a 1998 camry. My car on the side is 1995 GSX with approx 375-400 awhp. Enough about me, here is my situation......
Recently my sister purchased a 05 Corolla LE. Very nice car. Well she got into an accident recently. She is going to need a new hood, fender, bumper, grille, headlights. Ok here is where I need your help fellas. Instead of purchasing the LE parts for the car, I am considering purchasing the corolla S or xrs front ends for her. I am not sure if they are compatable or will fit. So please help me.

I know one of the newer Corollas has the "darker" shade headlights (maybe the type S or XRS, I am sure you know which ones i'm referring to). I was thinking about purchasing those instead of the regular clear ones that come with the 05' LE. Will those lights fit on her LE bumper and hood? I found a few of them on ebay that looked nice. I am not sure if I am allowed to post ebay links on this forum, but there were some with halos and some that just had the dark housing. What do you guys think?

Ok, how about the bumper. Can I purchase the corolla S or XRS front bumper. I know one of them looks really nice. I am not sure which ones though. Her current bumper doesn't come with foglights either (It just comes with the inserts for them), if I were to get one of those other bumpers (type S or XRS) will I need to purchase foglights?

How about the grille? Is there a different one for the corolla S and XRS?

The fender I don't think will matter, or will it with the different headlights and bumper?

And lastly, the hood. I don't think the hood on the LE looks bad, but does toyota make a better looking one for the xrs and corolla S? More importanly, will all these parts fit on each other, I don't want to buy something and find out it won't fit.

Sorry for the long post guys, If you know anything about my problem and can help, please do. I'd really appreciate it. And do you know of any place I can buy OEM parts for a little bit cheaper than Toyota? Thank you again.

Boosh

yes your allowed to post ebay links ... if it has naked people on it put *ww* around it.

you will need to buy the fog lights,

http://www.toyotaparts4u.com/

or for aftermarket

http://www.keystone-auto.com/

and for the parts from my understanding on the car they all have the same basic body the only real diffrence is as you point some body components and suspension ... yes they should work. you can call toyota and ask them if you want to be 100% sure and most are glad to tell you if they are or not .... if they arent glad too call another toyota and you find someone willing to there. or keystone might be able to tell you as well.

Better check your 36k warranty before you start putting different parts on the car, I'm sure Toyota isn't going to replace something that wasn't original. you just might wind up with one smoked headlight and one original, something to think about ....Raddman

all the parts for the '03 models and up have the same style bumpers, headlights, hoods and all the other parts you're considering replacing as long as they come from '03& up corolla. The only difference between the 03-04 & '05 models is cosmetic changes (i.e. smeked headlights, grille, bumper) overall all the parts coming from other corollas of the new body style should fit your sister's '05 LE.
Fog lights you can find online, or even purchase them from a dealership.

Thanks for the post but I didn't quiete understand you. I will call up toyota and ask them if replacing the headlights with aftermarket ones will viod my warranty. I didn't say anything about toyota replacing my headlights. I said I wanted to replace my headlights with different ones since I will need newer ones regardless....And I don't understand what you mean by ending up with only 1 smoked headlight. Normally, you'd buy a pair, or set. Not just one. Maybe I just didn't understand you.

What I meant is if after you put them on and you have a problem as I did with a seal leak(headlight fogged up) they won't replace it with another smoked headlight, just the stock original, they get touchy when they have to replace something under warrenty that has been messed with..I think it states that in the fine print.....Raddman

Oh ok, I got ya. Sorry about that. I'm dumb. Ok, I got ya. I am just going to buy them off ebay. Not the halo's though. The darker shaded ones that they sell. Almost look like the XRS ones.
