So, here I am, the new guy. Sitting here wondering....
I've got a 2001 corolla. It has a 1zzfe engine in it (right?).
Will it hold the 5sfe (from the camry of similar year)? Or perhaps even the 2azfe?
And if the answers a "no", how emphatic a no is that. Is that a no, but you could if you had lots of free time and a really big shoe horn. Or a no, snowballs chance in texas kinda no.
any thing is posiable with the right amount of money ......
if you want more power and easy swap go for the 2zz, if you want way more power you can always try craming in a 3s-gte in .... but that would get expenise (3k+) and ALOT of custom parts.
and rember in north texas it snows

^ and leaving it that way!
I'd say go for a 2zz-ge swap from a Celica GT-S, but it's a new engine so good luck finding one cheap. That would be the ultimate sleeper though.
Pffft. The 1ZZ-FE with the supercharger would have more potential. The 2ZZ-GE, although it has 192hp, its a high revver with not alot of torque. and it WOULDNT be the ultimate sleeper.
from talking to the parts guy at the dealer, i was understanding the 1.8l supercharger would fit on the 2zz generation engines. Am i wrong? If so, thats pretty cool.
the goal is to avoid as much custom part work as possible, but that just might be a pipe dream.
My ultimate goal is to end up with 200+hp corolla, with as much torque as i can get.
